Ilana Davidson, playing the role of Ina, and Robert Balonek, as Jaap, performed two excerpts from Gerald Cohen and Deborah Brevoort’s opera Steal a Pencil for Me. And for the first time, the real-life Jaap and Ina met their operatic counterparts.

HaZamir, the International Jewish Teen Choir, will perform the premiere of "Pitchu Li", commissioned by HaZamir, at their annual gala concert at Lincoln Center, Sunday, March 31, 2019. The HaZamir alumni choir will also perform my setting of Psalm 23 "Adonai Ro'i Lo Echsar" at this concert.

The Cassatt Quartet and clarinetist Vasko Dukovski will perform my piece "Voyagers", a tribute to the Voyager spacecraft on the 40th anniversary of their launch. The concert will also feature bassist Pablo Aslan, and include compositions of Astor Piazzola, Ljova, and others.

As part of the 2019 Cantors Assembly Convention, Voces Novae chorus of Louisville, Frank Heller, conductor, will present the premiere of "I felt my legs were praying," a new choral work by Gerald Cohen based on a text by Abraham Joshua Heschel, commissioned for the convention by the John Leopold and Martha Dellheim Endowment Fund.
