Welcome, inside Gordon Hall:
The Voyager—acrylic, oil and charcoal on canvas by Vincent Inconiglios
Vincent Inconiglios briefly introduces his artwork, The Voyager, currently on the stage of Gordon Hall, which he created at Music Mountain’s 2018 Painting Music event. The work depicts the music in Gerald Cohen’s Clarinet Quintet “Voyagers,” which was composed to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the launch of the Voyagers into space and, in turn, inspired by what the Golden Records on board represent for humankind.
Live Performance 1:
Galliard, from Voyagers for clarinet and string quartet, by Gerald Cohen (b. 1960)
Immediately afterwards, on Music Mountain’s Great Lawn’s outdoors stage, two Live Performances will follow for this year’s Painting Music event, including brief introductions by the composers:
String Quartet ” Myco-Communication” (2019), by Samantha Pollack (b. 1998)
String Quartet ” Rough Edges” (2019), by Daniel Armetta (b. 1996)
